April Fool’s is behind us, and we’re back to the exciting test releases for Minecraft! If you watched the Minecraft LIVE broadcast on March 22, you already know about the amazing features coming in 2025’s second game drop. The most exciting news? You can test some of these features TODAY! 🎉
Features available for testing in Bedrock beta and preview:
- Happy Ghast 😊: Unlike its Nether counterpart, this friendly creature thrives in the Overworld and can carry up to four players!
- Ghastling 🐣: An adorable smaller version with cute gills. It loves following players and transforms into a Happy Ghast when fed enough snowballs.
- Dried Ghast Block 🧱: Find it in the Nether or craft it from ghast tears and bone block.
- Ghast Harness 🔧: Made from leather, glass, and wool, this equipment lets you control your Happy Ghast. Customize it with dyes of your choice!
Your journey to the skies begins not by booking tickets, but by venturing into the Nether! When you waterlog the Dried Ghast Block, you’ll breathe new life into it, creating an adorable Ghastling.
Rediscover Minecraft with Vibrant Visuals! 🌈🌎
The Vibrant Visuals feature, first showcased at Minecraft LIVE, is now available for testing on select Minecraft: Bedrock Edition devices! This dazzling visual refresh will transform your Minecraft experience with:
- Seemingly infinite clouds ☁️
- Reflective water surfaces 💧
- Shadows that will make you want to reshape your builds to face the sunrise 🌅

- Android (Adreno 640, Mali-G68, Mali-G77, or Xclipse 530 or higher)
- iOS (A12, M1 or higher)

To use Vibrant Visuals in a world, you’ll need to enable the “Vibrant Visuals” toggle in the “Experimental” tab when creating or editing a world. You can also adjust settings to favor performance or visual quality in the “Video” settings.
Important Notes ⚠️
- Testing versions can corrupt your world, so please backup and/or run them in a different save folder from your main worlds.
- Splitscreen isn’t currently supported with Vibrant Visuals.
- Marketplace Add-Ons, Skins, and Persona items will work with Vibrant Visuals, however, Worlds and Texture Packs are not compatible at this time.
We can’t wait for you to soar through the skies, dye your Ghast Harness your favorite color, or toggle Vibrant Visuals on for the first time! As always, we’re releasing these features into testing to improve them based on your feedback. Help us by reporting bugs at bugs.mojang.com! 🐞🔧
